Kristin, you have outdone yourself. It is so impressive. You are amazing and I appreciate your commitment to improving the Springfield community through your work. You are a behind-the-scenes unsung hero!
Kristin Olson began writing grants in 1998 when she was a graduate student. After earning her Master’s degree in non-profit organization management, she worked in the non-profit sector for seven years. As Project Coordinator of two county-wide programs, Kristin was responsible for renewing the grants that supported program operating costs and for securing grant funding for new agency initiatives.
She developed her skills by taking classes and attending workshops on grantwriting, fundraising, and resource development. Most notably, she completed the five-day grantsmanship course conducted by The Grantsmanship Center, an internationally reknowned leader in grant training.
Kristin has more than 20 years experience facilitating workshops and leading training in a variety of settings: from one-on-one instruction to small group sessions, from one-time events to multi-week series, from site-specific staff training to statewide conferences. Topics have included cooperative learning, computer literacy, Microsoft Office applications, faith-based leadership development, Bible study, planning and leading Sunday School lessons, effective after school program strategies, implementing violence prevention curriculum, mentoring, strategic planning, and a variety of topics related to grant writing.
